Why Choose SOBA

Why Scottsdale Residents Choose Aftercare With Us

Long-term sobriety is its own phase of the work, and it helps to plan around the rhythms of the city you live in. Certain events come back on the calendar every year, so alumni want a plan for those weeks annually, not only the first time through. Plenty of people also return to visible social and work circles where discretion still matters years on.

Clinical Note

Risk doesn't end when formal treatment does; anniversaries, stress, and old routines still land. A standing connection to SOBA and a recovery community is what carries someone through those moments.

The Program

What Aftercare Looks Like

Aftercare keeps alumni connected through periodic check-ins and continuing-care support, timed loosely around the stretches that tend to be harder. The same team stays reachable, alongside a local recovery community.

Physician-Led Clinical Care

Reyes Topete, MD, our medical director, oversees every level of care at SOBA. One family-owned clinical team has run the whole continuum since 2007, detox through aftercare, with no handoffs between separate providers.

The Distance Is the Point

The drive to Mesa isn't a detour from recovery; it's part of it. Real distance from the people, places, and routines tied to active use in Scottsdale is often what makes the early weeks hold, which is why our campus sits somewhere calm and private, with admissions open 24/7.

Getting Here

Getting to Aftercare from Scottsdale

The 25–30 minute drive via Loop 202 and Loop 101 doesn't disappear at discharge, and our team takes alumni check-ins 24/7. Locally, North Scottsdale Fellowship Club works as a long-term home group. If the WM Phoenix Open weekend is a known high-risk window for you, name that week in your aftercare plan: extra meetings, a sponsor check-in, or being out of town.
