Residential Addiction Treatment for Scottsdale, AZ

Old Town sits about 25–30 minutes from Mesa, and for someone who needs to fully step away rather than cut back, that distance does real work. Residential care runs 24/7, with private and semi-private rooms and wellness amenities built for a full reset rather than a bed.

Why Choose SOBA

Why Scottsdale Residents Choose Residential Treatment With Us

For some people the problem isn't a lack of resources; it's proximity to their own triggers. Living in McCormick Ranch, DC Ranch, or Old Town itself, outpatient means driving home every night to the same fridge and the same group chat making plans. When the day is wide open and the pull of the old environment is strong, the freedom to not leave it works against you, so residential takes the environment out of the equation.

Clinical Note

Getting someone away from the people, places, and routines tied to active use is often the single biggest factor in early recovery. Structure around the clock also means a medical or mental-health need gets caught on-site instead of at home.

The Program

What Residential Inpatient Looks Like

You live on-site in a private or semi-private room for the length of treatment, with chef-prepared meals, wellness amenities, and clinical programming built into each day. Daily triggers drop away entirely, and the same team steps you down through PHP, IOP, and aftercare as you progress.

Physician-Led Clinical Care

Reyes Topete, MD, our medical director, oversees every level of care at SOBA. One family-owned clinical team has run the whole continuum since 2007, detox through aftercare, with no handoffs between separate providers.

The Distance Is the Point

The drive to Mesa isn't a detour from recovery; it's part of it. Real distance from the people, places, and routines tied to active use in Scottsdale is often what makes the early weeks hold, which is why our campus sits somewhere calm and private, with admissions open 24/7.

Getting to Residential Inpatient from Scottsdale

The 25–30 minute drive to Mesa (Loop 202→Loop 101→Scottsdale Rd) buys separation from Old Town, Kierland, and the Airpark without being a flight away from family. Admissions is available 24/7 and verifies benefits quickly: we're in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and out-of-network for Aetna, Cigna, United, and Tricare/TriWest for veterans, and AHCCCS/Medicaid is not accepted. Clients flying in can have a ride from Phoenix Sky Harbor arranged in advance, and while we don't offer legal advice, documentation of a completed residential stay is generally what courts want to see, including Scottsdale City Court at 3939 N Drinkwater Blvd.
