Why Choose SOBA

Why Paradise Valley Residents Choose IOP With Us

You get several hours a week of structured care while still showing up to your job and your household, without the full remove a residential stay requires. For a lot of Paradise Valley residents, staying inside their own routine is what makes starting treatment feel possible at all.

Clinical Note

IOP fits people who need real clinical treatment but can't step away from work or family for 30 days. Staying enrolled or employed while getting structured care is the whole point of this level.

The Program

What Intensive Outpatient Looks Like

IOP usually runs three to five sessions a week, with evening scheduling so treatment fits around work, school, or family. A co-occurring anxiety, depression, or trauma diagnosis is treated in the same program rather than referred out.

Physician-Led Clinical Care

Reyes Topete, MD, our medical director, oversees every level of care at SOBA. One family-owned clinical team has run the whole continuum since 2007, detox through aftercare, with no handoffs between separate providers.

The Distance Is the Point

The drive to Mesa isn't a detour from recovery; it's part of it. Real distance from the people, places, and routines tied to active use in Paradise Valley is often what makes the early weeks hold, which is why our campus sits somewhere calm and private, with admissions open 24/7.

Getting Here

Getting to Intensive Outpatient from Paradise Valley

The 30–35 minute drive to Mesa, via Loop 202 to Loop 101/SR-51, works in favor of discretion, since clients come and go from a program well outside the Camelback Mountain and Mockingbird Lane corridor. Admissions is available 24/7 and verifies insurance before the first session. Between sessions, PV's own AA fellowship, including "Celebrate Life" at Ascension Lutheran, is a private place to keep working the program without leaving town.
