Why Choose SOBA

Why Scottsdale Residents Choose IOP With Us

Taking 30+ days off for residential care isn't realistic for most people, and keeping treatment private while staying on the job matters just as much. IOP answers both with roughly 9–15 hours a week of group and individual therapy scheduled around a workweek. It suits someone who isn't physically dependent enough to need detox or residential but needs more than once-a-week talk therapy to change the pattern.

Clinical Note

IOP fits people who need real clinical treatment but can't step away from work or family for 30 days. Staying enrolled or employed while getting structured care is the whole point of this level.

The Program

What Intensive Outpatient Looks Like

IOP usually runs three to five sessions a week, with evening scheduling so treatment fits around work, school, or family. A co-occurring anxiety, depression, or trauma diagnosis is treated in the same program rather than referred out.

Physician-Led Clinical Care

Reyes Topete, MD, our medical director, oversees every level of care at SOBA. One family-owned clinical team has run the whole continuum since 2007, detox through aftercare, with no handoffs between separate providers.

The Distance Is the Point

The drive to Mesa isn't a detour from recovery; it's part of it. Real distance from the people, places, and routines tied to active use in Scottsdale is often what makes the early weeks hold, which is why our campus sits somewhere calm and private, with admissions open 24/7.
